The neoprene grips are awful to look at, the revolver appears to have ears, while being most functional. I understand that Charter uses screws (as opposed to Ruger's massive forging) to cut costs. You can look down the muzzle of each gun or at the bottom area where barrel meets the frame and see this. It shoots POA, but my Charter Pathfinder is about two inches off at 12 yards. I asked for and received status info by email from one of the owners. The dealer sent it back and they replaced the crane and now the gun works perfectly. It could have occurred earlier, I just noticed it after 10 rounds. After 10 shots (never THROUGH the gun) with the Undercover the cylincer popped and wouldn't close. I carry a pre-lock Smith 60 three-incher but wanted a pure 38.
